African Drumming, Singing and Dance
African drumming, singing and dance workshops for schools, schools workshops uk, workshops for schools, find school workshops

We deliver a variety of African based workshops including drumming, drum and dance, costumes and mask making and African music history.

Our speciality is and "end of day performance" where children perform in African costumes for parents, staff and other children at the school or at your event. We arrive at your venue with many different types of African drums including djembe (hand drums), djuns (stick drums), balafon (African xylophone) and various types of hand held instruments.

After an introduction of meeting the children we begin to introduce the drums and instruments and then we add an African song and a dance section, ready for our End of Day Performance if requested.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and David for your excellent workshop at our African Summer School. The children loved finding out about the different instruments and I thought it was great to see all the children involved, smiling and confident in their dance moves. A fun day was had by all.

Cat Budworth, Theatre Cats Stage School

Many thanks for the wonderful music workshop that you provided along with your colleague, Sekou Kompo. The authentic percussion instruments were a real treat! The children and staff appreciated all the hard work that you obviously put into the planning so that all of the 120 pupils were included. We have now confidently moved onto our own compositions and are following the whole thing up with an African art project. Many thanks

Many thanks for all your hard work, energy and enthusiasm yesterday. You certainly made a favorable impression on all the students;they have given me some really positive feedback regarding your sessions. I look forward to working with you again in the near future on similar projects. Best wishes
